Budva

Budva is one of the oldest towns on the Adriatic, with a story more than two and a half thousand years long. Its old town, ringed by mighty walls, holds a maze of paved lanes, small squares and churches whose bell towers can be seen from far out at sea.

Approaching Budva from the deck is a sight in itself: a fortress rising out of the water, and behind it a riviera stretching from sandy beaches to hidden coves. A walk along the town ramparts opens onto the open sea and the islet of Sveti Nikola, the largest on the Montenegrin coast.

For those who love life by the water, there is the town beach, Mogren and a string of smaller coves sheltered by the cliffs. And when day gives way to night, Budva turns into a town of lights — the old town glowing, its reflection spread across the whole bay.
